Mileys Mom Dog Training Cranbrook Services

Miley's Mom has a service to meet your individual needs. Your program or plan will be as individualized and you and/or your dog. Miley's mom will do an assessment for you and/or your dog to make program or plan recommendations to help serve you the best and help you meet your goals. We can do training sessions at your home, park or other appropriate place depending on the needs and comfort level of you and your dog. For example, if your dog is protective of their home it may be best to start training in a park. However, if your dog gets overstimulated, anxious or reactive in busy settings we may want to start in your home or yard where your dog feels comfortable. 

• Basic Training - leash skills, manners, bark reduction, basic commands. Training programs come with an individually tailored training plan and progress reports. 

• Walk n' Train - have your dog get the benefits of a walk and training at the same time. 

• Service Dog Mentorship - If you feel that you dog has what it takes to become a service dog, Miley and her mom, as a team can mentor and train you to be service dog team assessment ready.  Training programs come with an individually tailored training plan and progress reports. 

• Pet Therapy - As a team, Miley and I can do pet therapy with you to achieve the goals that you want by working with an animal. I can also train you how to do pet therapy work with your own dog. 

There is a common misconception that a dog trainer will train your dog for you when actually we train you to train your dog. This will help you and your dog build trust, respect and consistency, as well as have a plan for moving forward so that your dog doesn't revert or regress after I'm out of the picture. My goal with any client(s) is to work myself out of a job. I will provide you with the tools, support and guidance to be able to work confidently with your dog once your training program or plan has progressed to a point where you've developed some mastery of tools and skills. Note that I didn't say when your training will ever be complete. As humans and dogs we should always be learning new things to keep our brains stimulated and active. We should never stop learning and growing.
